straightforward check-in convenient location adjustable heating bright streetlights excessive noise unresolved problem
the check-in process was very straightforward. the location was very convenient, close to everything. i liked that there was a fridge in the room. the room size was larger than expected. they also provided a thermostat to adjust the heating.
the street lights shone directly into the room. this made it difficult to sleep. there was also street noise until 3 am. the staff mentioned it was a common issue but did not address it.

Street Noise and Discomfort

street noise uncomfortable bed
The street noise was pretty bad. Sleep wasn't easy. Earplugs were supplied, a nice gesture, yet insufficient. The bed was not comfortable. I also found the lack of on-site staff unsettling. It would have been helpful to have someone available for assistance.

Central and well-equipped

easy check-in great location clean rooms sweet touch
Check-in and check-out were really straightforward. The room had everything needed (i noticed the dish soap and sponge!). I appreciated the full-length mirror in the bathroom. There was even a candy cane heart on the bed, a sweet touch.
I did find the street noise noticeable at night. Perhaps lighter sleepers should request a room away from the main thoroughfare.
Dining
9/10
The room included a kettle and a microwave. I made a simple meal using the provided crockery. There were many cafes and restaurants around the hotel too.
Location
10/10
The hotel had a central location within the city walls. Access to shops, restaurants and historic sites was easy. I could walk everywhere.
Facilities
9/10
The bathroom was a good size. I appreciated the storage space and provided toilet roll. A fridge and a TV were included (a crackling fire on the screen added a cozy touch!).
Service
9/10
Communication was good before arrival. All information was sent sufficiently in advance. Staff responded quickly when I had a question.

Street lights shone into my room through the window. It made sleeping difficult. street noise was also loud despite the double glazing. i should have realised i was in for a rough night when i saw earplugs beside the bed.

Excellent City Center Stay

central location city walls helpful staff short distance
The location was central inside the city walls and near many restaurants I appreciated being close to shops and places of interest I had easy access to the Peace Bridge and the museum The Guildhall and Free Derry Corner were also within a short distance.
The room was not overly large but was comfortable enough. However it was on the ground floor at the back of the building next to an alley so there was some noise at night.
Dining
9/10
The hotel has a kitchen that included coffee tea milk and basic dishes. It allows guests to heat ready meals and prepare simple meals.
Rooms
9/10
The double room featured a comfortable bed and super clean bathroom. It also included a desk that was good for working. It had great amenities like a microwave, coffee maker and a private bathroom.
